Karate is about far more than kicking and punching. Learning karate is a way to develop physical fitness and improve emotional wellbeing. There is a perception that karate is violent, and the main focus is breaking bricks. This is not the case - Karate is a way to bring the mind and body together to increase self-belief and improve fitness.
We offer classes for:

Children - Schools program
​
Through Karate Schools programs, we aim is to bring the benefits the karate training to as many children as possible, helping them build their self-confidence and emotional skills so they have the chance to reach their full potential in everything they do.
​
Children will benefit from learning to work as teams and in pairs, learning how to communicate effectively and help each other on the way.
​
Sentenashi has strong links with many primary and secondary schools, along with colleges and universities. We are continually told by both parents and teachers about the improvement in the behaviour of children who train regularly.
​
Teenagers
​
Our range of classes are designed to help students to progress and achieve their own personal targets.
​
Our teenage karate community come from a range of abilities and backgrounds but one thing that we all have in common is our love of karate and our acceptance and support of each other.
​
Increase your circle of friends outside of the school environment. Karate encourages students to interact with a range of people of different ages and also varying abilities.
We also have a number of activities outside of the dojo for our members to get to know each other in a more relaxed environment.
​
Many of our students practice Karate for a number of different reasons, some to get or keep fit, some for self-defence, some people enjoy meeting new friends and others enjoy training with us to improve self-awareness, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Adults
​
It's a myth that you have to be flexible and tough to start karate. No matter what your shape, size or physical ability, with our coaching and support, and your effort, you can get to Black Belt and beyond.
​
Most adults are slightly apprehensive about starting something new. How often have you said "I’m too old to start" or "I’m not fit enough". In fact many of our members didn't start until they were way past their teens and one of the many benefits of Karate training is that your fitness and health will steadily improve.
​

We are proud to have had over 100 new black belts to have passed through our Dojo's over the past 25+ years, some who continue to develop their karate week in, week out.
​
Our members have created a supportive and diverse community around a love and passion for karate. We can't think of a better environment to train and grow.
