Our philosophy

Karate Ni Sentenashi

This is a basic and very essential part of Karate training. Translated, it means, in Karate-do there is no first strike, either physically or mentally.

What is the importance of philosophy in Karate-do?

Without the inward pursuit of personal values and excellence, the martial art remains only a sport, a fighting system, or fitness pursuit.  But it is so much more…

“Karate has one heart.”

There are many schools of karate but as long as there is a shared purpose, philosophy, and vision for a better world then we could all come together as one.

To fully understand Karate ni Sentenashi, many years of correct training are required. As the Karate-ka grows in stature, so also will grow their good manners and etiquette, both outwardly and, even more important, inwardly. A person who is true to Karate-do will always have the virtues of calmness, prudence, and humility.

Sentenashi is much more than just self defence. You will not only learn about the art of Karate, but yourself, your life, and the world. You will learn patience, persistence, respect, control, and more.
